Set in the undulating countryside of Wicklow, the Old Milking Parlour is the perfect place to submerge in the unique ambience of a 17th Century Quaker settlement. The architect owners, Philip and Delphine Geoghegan provide quality self-catering that offers something a little quirky, special, totally luxurious, yet sustainable. The beautiful simplicity of the building shines through. The result is light and airy, with flowing spaces, whitewashed walls, porcelain floors and elegant wetrooms.

Stone walls, ancient cross beams and the byres of the cows once milked there, remain in the chic, authentic, interior, within which the glass fronted stove and sumptuous sofas offer comfort and relaxation.

Whilst part of the original Quaker courtyard setting, the house opens from all living areas onto its own mature, totally private, south facing garden, with organic herb trough. Roses and lavender line the outdoor terrace, with table, chairs and sun loungers, an ideal venue for relaxing.

A sustainable list of Eco-Principles compiled by the architects shaped this project from first to last. Quality and comfort are second to none. Enjoy hill walking in the splendid Wicklow mountains, or stroll the golden sands of Brittas Bay Beach. Idle in lovely Wicklow town, lavish attention on yourself in a local spa, visit beautiful gardens and attractions such as Powerscourt and Mount Usher. Or simply relax in front of a crackling fire, take a book from the bookshelf and sip a complimentary bottle of wine.

The cottage left centre as you look. If you swivel round to your left you will see a lane to right. Access to the cottage is down this lane. Click on the icon in the top right corner to view in full screen. (Escape will allow you to exit full screen mode). Hold the left button on your mouse and drag to view from different angles. To move along the road either click the arrows on the road or choose a spot further along the road and left click your mouse once to advance! (If you don't move your mouse far enough away you will see a magnifying glass in your circle, move a bit further and it disappears. Click and advance! If you find yourself activating the magnifying glass simply right click and zoom out.)

You will have noticed a small window to the bottom right with a little yellow man in the centre. What you are seeing in the main window is the view through his eyes. This window can be enlarged by clicking the arrow in the top left corner. Use the '+' and '-' to zoom in/out. You can also drag the yellow man to e.g. the nearest town and have a quick tour before you arrive! Of course the blue icon represents the location of the cottage.

Have fun and we hope you enjoy your holiday ...
